Will the Limb Break?

Yesterday, I went out on a limb saying I thought the Santa Claus Rally might commence. Yesterday was not any real kick-off rally, and this morning’s openers are not pointing to any significant lift either. Nothing more than 1 to 2 tenths as of 7:54 a.m. EST.

It may take hold today, or it may not. It’s okay.

I’ll try updating, and see if yesterday’s action was small enough to let any of my technical indicators fall into place, so as to perhaps give me more reason to believe. O, Santa, are you even going to come this year?!?!?

Here’s to your successful investing!

Happy Holidays Harold … Any thoughts on Marine Harvest of Norway – MHG, I picked up 1/3rd position back in June, added a bit more .. contemplating adding more
Reviewing – Henry SCHEIN – (HSIC) – Largest US distributor of healthcare products to dental and veterinary offices. It has a solid long-term growth record, aided by acquisitions, as the company has been a buyer and is consolidating the fragmented industry. Acquisitions will help drive expected 10% earnings in 2016. And with interest rates likely to remain low, the company’s stable and growing cash flows should continue to be valued highly by the marke

  2. Well, MHG is a $5.8 billion company whose sales were off by 23% the past year at $3.4 billion. Div Yld is 4.95%, and has been slowly declining, probably due to currency conversion to USD. That Div is some 58% of the projected $1.10 a share EPS 12-onths out., but that EPS figure has been rising rapidly since April! In VV projected future earnings growth 1 to 3 years out is only 2%, but I can’t tell you if such a number is to be relied upon. By VectorVest metrics, MHG should be considered as an aggressive investment idea.

HSIC has never come up in my work, so I need to check it out as well. It is awesome by every measure I look at, but one. It pays NO dividend, which explains why I’ve never seen it before! If one is all about capital appreciation, it makes perfect sense as an investment on that score! Way to go in finding it!
