Pre-openers are up 1/2 of 1% as I type, so it’s looking like a ‘nice’ start for the day. I have no expectation that this will last, and that another shoe is likely to drop. So, I’m just biding my time, and waiting for the next opportunity to come along, all the while letting cash accrue to our accounts.
Our brokerage statements have been made available, and I will report back on our very latest portfolio dividend income results, whatever they might be.
At the risk of someone telling me that their BS meter has gone off the scale, I’m just going to say it right up front. I had NO idea that our results for the month of August could have possibly been this good! I went back and forth over our numbers time and again to make absolutely certain that I had not made a mistake somewhere in either the recording of our August portfolio dividend income, or the mathematical computations by which I totaled up that income and then determined how much more it was over the previous 3, 6, 9 and 12 months ago.
Here is what has actually happened to our portfolio since we determined that we would only be investors in safe-dividend growing stocks, for the express purpose of causing the growth of a portfolio dividend income to begin to start taking in our retirement:
Our August income, derived from our concentrated investment in what was 19 stock positions at the time, was 147.43% higher than that for the month of August in 2014! That’s 147%!!! I have since added new positions in 4 more securities, those being Amgen, Dollar General, Nike and Rollins.
August income over November of 2014, 9 months ago had increased by 48.56%!
August had grown over February, 6 months ago by 24.66%.
Finally, our most recent statement of income for August over just last May, 3 months ago, was 15.86%.
I’ve said it time and time again… focus on safely growing a portfolio dividend income first. You can take charge of it, and you can make it happen. All else is outside your control! I’ll shout it from the housetops. I’ll shout it ’til the cows come home. I’ll shout it ’til I am blue in the face. Harness compounding! Invest in safe-dividend growers. Re-invest those dividends, if you are able… keep meticulous records, and update them every month, as your statements become available. Then, just sit back, and watch what will happen to you! It’s just like MAGIC (only it’s real!)
Here’s to your successful investing!
